Iris

I am totally obsessed with journals and sketchbooks. It happens so that I buy new one having no idea of what to do with it. It just can't be helped!:) As a result, several lovely virgin sketchbooks decorate my cabinet, awaiting their hour. One of my favorites is the beautiful rose petals and grass inlaid journal. It is said to be handmade by native Himalayan artisans. Could anyone possibly resist it? And this is a little painting I added to the journal yesterday

  1. That is so beautiful! I love the vibrant blue flower, and the way it's splashed over top of the writing! It's wonderful! I could put the whole journal, opened to that page, in a shadowbox frame on the wall! What a conversation piece it would be! Wonderful work!

  2. Dear Maria,
...oh...breathtakingly beautiful... amazing... how sensitive you made them all. Thank you for sharing the wonderful journal. I'm searching for an A4, not bad paper quality one. Not easy for this poor artist who uses up them so quickly.
    Kind regards, Sadami

  5. This is such a beautiful entry to your journal! I am often afraid I might 'spoil' the page when I begin a sketchbook. I would be so proud if I had done it I would definately have it displayed!

  6. Katherine, Sadami, Pat, Sasha and Sandra, thank you very much for the comments! :)

Katherine, thanks, I'll think of that :)

Sadami, wish you to find a perfect one :)

Pat, this is a really good idea :)

Да, Саш, он такой здоровский :) Ведь придумали же - розовые лепестки!

Sandra, I hear you! This is why my first sketch always goes in the middle of journal :))
